Concrete repair does not have to mean removal. Successful Concrete repairs can require pressure injection of epoxies to permanently bond the concrete back together. Larger cracks or repairs may require "stitching" or even a carbon fiber wrap to regain structural integrity, sometimes even more than originally designed. Spalls and pop-outs can be repaired with specialized Gels. Concrete can be repaired and opened to traffic in the same day depending on the severity of the damage. Early repair before the doncrete deteriorates beyond salvation is key.
This is a laboratory specimen that has been filled with a florescent treated epoxy resin. Note the cracks in the center as well as the voids in the original placement have been filled through pressure injection process.
The epoxy injection process is fairly simple. The cracks are cleaned of debris, injection ports are applied and the cracks sealed to contain the material. Injection is completed and the ports and capping materials are removed. The repaired concrete, floor, wall or structure can then be treated with a topical, in this case a floor overlay and epoxy paint.
